Audy Home Campaign Making Moves!

The Audy Home Campaign had a big meeting yesterday with Cook County Commissioner Gainer and Garcia. We shared our vision for restorative justice alternatives to juvenile detention. They said they shared this vision AND committed to find funding in the 2014 County budget to fund these alternatives!!! We meet again in two weeks, we have until the Budget gets past in November to make it happen.

Next Cook County Board Meeting is Oct 2, 10am, 118 N. Clark, please join us! The preliminary 2014 County Budget calls for spending $13M more on juvenile detention, that's not right! Youth need jobs and mentors, not jail. If you want to stop the violence, reinvest this money in our youth! Audy Home Campaign is makin' moves!
